When your organization creates an account, we collect:
- Name and email address
- Organization name
- Role within your organization
- Password (stored as a one-way hash; we never store plaintext passwords)
Field Data
When you use the Service to create reports, checklists, or time entries, we collect:
- Daily report content (weather, workforce, work performed, equipment, materials, safety observations, delays, quality notes)
- Safety checklist responses and inspection data
- Time entry records (clock-in/out times, injury attestations)
- Photos uploaded with reports or checklists
- GPS coordinates (when you grant location permission for signatures or check-ins)
Voice Data
GoSafety uses on-device speech recognition to convert your voice to text. Your audio recordings are processed entirely on your device and are never transmitted to our servers or any third party. Only the resulting text is stored as part of your reports.
Device and Usage Information
We automatically collect:
- Device type, operating system, and version
- App version
- General usage patterns (features used, frequency of use)
- Crash reports and error logs
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process and store your field reports, checklists, and time entries
- Authenticate users and secure accounts
- Generate PDF exports and CSV reports
- Sync data between the mobile app and web console

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Within your organization: Reports, checklists, and time entries are visible to authorized users within your organization based on their role.
- Service providers: We use a limited number of third-party services for infrastructure hosting and error monitoring. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Offline Data
GoSafety is designed to work offline. Data created while offline is stored locally on your device and synced to our servers when internet connectivity is available. You retain full access to your data regardless of connectivity status.

We retain your data for as long as your organization's account is active. If your organization cancels its account, we will delete your data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes).

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
