What it is

This workflow lets an organization build one or more safety checklist forms, publish them to the field app, and collect completed checklists with review status, notes, signatures, GPS context, location data, and weather data.

Who uses it

  • Safety managers creating and maintaining required forms.
  • Foremen or field staff completing the forms in the field.
  • Office reviewers approving or rejecting submitted checklists.

Step-by-step workflow

  1. An admin creates or edits a form definition in the web app.
  2. The form is published as an active checklist form for the organization.
  3. A field user selects the form in the iOS app.
  4. The user answers required visible items, captures signature and evidence if needed, and submits the checklist.
  5. The checklist appears in the web app with status and review controls.

  • Checklist date and site name.
  • Typed item answers stored per field.
  • Form version and form name snapshot.
  • Notes.
  • GPS latitude, longitude, and accuracy when provided.
  • Structured location data and weather data.

Practical construction examples

  • Current diagram tools are covered separately and are still v1.
  • Some advanced field experiences rely on the field app and are not mirrored as rich web editors.
